About this shell:

Conch Shell

This conch shell is identified as a lambis lambis, common name ‘spider conch’. It features a beautiful flared outer lip that is ornamented by six hollow marginal digitations that give it a unique shape and beautiful architecture. They are commonly found off the northern coasts of Australia. The gorgeous cream and light brown tones on this shell are the perfect complement to the gentle blue colour used in the background of this artwork, giving the piece a calming mood overall.
